Born from a real problem
in the field.
A precision shooter from CQ Land Management was spending more time trying to cross-reference approved land boundaries from memory using Google Maps on his phone. With no offline maps and no cadastral overlays, tracking operating borders from the air was a constant guessing game. He needed a single, offline screen showing parcel boundaries, hazards, and real-time position.
K-Labs partnered with CQLM to build TacTrax to solve this problem. Today, CQLM utilizes the platform across their entire operations—from culling and drone spraying tracking to fence management and land administration. Built for the field, tested by the operators on the ground.

Common questions.
Does TacTrax work fully offline?
Yes. Download an offline region pack with up to 9 selectable layer groups (satellite, cadastral, environment, buildings, watercourses, hazards, trails, overlays, POIs). GPS keeps tracking; recordings keep saving. When you reconnect, sync runs in the background.
Which devices are supported?
iOS 15+ on iPhone and iPad, Android 11+ on phones and rugged handhelds. The web portal supports the latest Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox.
Where does my map data come from?
Satellite imagery from MapTiler and ESRI, OpenStreetMap for base topology, and cadastral parcel data from each state government open-data feed (via CKAN). Maritime boundaries come from Geoscience Australia. Marine parks and protected areas from DCCEEW and CAPAD 2024.
Can I share missions with my crew?
On Pro and Org plans, any mission you create on the portal is pushed to every device on your crew within seconds. Annotations are live, with edit history.
How is location data secured?
All sync traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Org plans support data residency in AU regions and SSO via your identity provider.
